SB Foundation Inc. - Mission Statement

The mission of the SB Foundation, Inc. is to raise money for charitable causes within the communities we serve.  The corporation is organized to undertake fundraising activities and to receive voluntary contributions to provide support for philanthropic, benevolent, public health or social welfare organizations.  The Foundation's goal is to make a positive impact on our community.  Past proceeds have gone to nonprofit organizations including Karen Ann Quinlan Hospice and the United Way of Northern New Jersey; and various local scholarships. 

In 2013, the SB Foundation, Inc. made donations to the Hemophilia Foundation, Karen Ann Quinlan Hospice, United Way of Northern New Jersey, Local High School & College Scholarships, Kittatinny Cougar Club Event, 4-H Foundation, 200 Club of Sussex County, Bergen Chapter NJSCPA, Meadowlands YMCA, Oasis and the Boys and Girls Club of Paterson.  Additionally, the Foundation will be awarding three $1,000.00 scholarships to the Sussex County Community College Foundation, in their May 2014 ceremonies, for the US Armed Forces Veteran Assistance Scholarship, US Armed Forces Reservist Advantage Scholarship & the US Armed Forces College Start Scholarship. 

"On behalf of the United Way, we are ecstatic to receive this gift. It will really make a difference in our continuing efforts and support our mission," said Mary Emilius, Chief Professional Officer of United Way of Northern New Jersey.

“We truly appreciate this contribution and what it will do for our Memorial Foundation. I've been on the Sussex Bank Golf Committee for over 25 years and feel this year's golf event really raised the bar," said Glenn Lewis, Director of Development at Karen Ann Quinlan Hospice.

 SB Foundation, Inc. is a §501(c)(3) organization, gifts to which are deductible as charitable contributions for Federal income tax purposes.
